Teranga Academy Model (District Partnerships)

Partners with public school districts to better serve Multilingual Learners. Whole-school model includes full-day English immersion, music/arts therapy, soccer, wraparound family engagement in trauma-informed setting.

Target Population: Multilingual Learners in partner districts

Languages: English immersion

Capacity: Active in Ohio and Kentucky; expanding nationwide; goal of 50 districts in 5 years

Eligibility: School districts with high numbers of ELL students

Tuition-Free Public Charter School (Grades 6-12)

Free

Target Population: Refugee/immigrant youth ages 10-19 from ~40 countries

Languages: English immersion with multilingual support

Capacity: ~45 students; 6:1 student-teacher ratio

Eligibility: Refugee and immigrant students grades 6-12; primarily English Language Learners
Hours: Full school year; full-day program
