For-Impact ATL Community Code of Conduct
Our community is built on respect, inclusivity, and civic engagement. By participating in For-Impact ATL, you agree to uphold these values and contribute to a welcoming environment for all members.
Expected Behavior
- Be respectful and kind to all community members
- Assume good intentions in all interactions
- Focus on what's best for the community
- Show empathy toward others
- Respect privacy and confidentiality
- Welcome newcomers and help them feel included
- Give constructive feedback graciously
- Accept responsibility and apologize when you make mistakes
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered unacceptable in our community:
- Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind
- Threats, intimidation, or violent language
- Sharing others' private information without consent
- Spamming or unsolicited commercial solicitation
- Impersonation or misrepresentation
- Disruptive behavior that interferes with community activities
- Any illegal activity
- Continued one-on-one communication after being asked to stop

All reports will be reviewed promptly and handled with discretion. We are committed to protecting the identity of those who report violations.
Enforcement
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in the following actions, depending on severity:
- Warning: A private, written warning explaining the violation and expected behavior change (typically for first-time, minor offenses)
- Temporary Suspension: Temporary removal from community activities and platform access (for repeat offenses or more serious violations)
- Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from the community (for severe violations or continued misconduct after previous actions)
Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing safety@for-impactatl.org with a detailed explanation. Appeals will be reviewed by community leadership.
